Welcome to my website for World and British Literature classes at Fayette County High School!
A little about me...
I joined the Fayette County High School faculty in 2011 after moving to Georgia. Previously, I lived in Massachusetts, where I was born and raised. I studied English at Boston University and worked for several years in the publishing industry. I transitioned into teaching and then earned my Master's in English Education from Georgia State University. I became a teacher because I enjoy working with students and wanted to share my love of literature in a more interactive way. I believe I have the best job in the world for two reasons: 1) I learn something new every day and 2) I have terrific students who are a constant source of energy, humor, and new challenges.
As a teacher, I want my students to think analytically, read critically, and communicate effectively. I engage students in assignments and activities that promote higher-order thinking. I want students to take an active role in the learning process and to work together. I am excited for another great year!
